Pretending we are inside a labyrinth...

On Monday 19th February 2018, the children came to school ready to get muddy!

We headed down to the over-grown allotments where the children had to hunt for 'treasure', working together in teams in order to do so.  Whilst searching, the children found parts of a particualr Greek myth and when we put it all together and read it, it told the story of Theseus and the Minotaur.

In order for the children to be able to imagine what it might be like finding their way through a dark, twisitng maze we set up a nightline course.  In groups, the children had to choose a leader who led their blind-folded team through the 'maze'.  It was very entertaining and it was clear that some leaders were better than others!
