Class 7  Mrs Lilleker and Mrs Turnbull

Hello :) Welcome to Class 7's page

In Class 7, we are Year 3 children, our teachers are Mrs Lilleker and Mrs Turnbull. Mrs Tingle, Mrs Bailey and Mrs Aldis are our Teaching Assistants.

Here in Class 7, we are on our way to becoming the best class in Rotherham and indeed the world. We have just begun our journey into Key stage 2 and are very excited about being up in the Junior building!

Please leave your child's Reading Diary in their book bag as the class teacher will be using them regularly. In Class 7, your child's Reading Diary will be collected in every Monday.

It is important that your child reads at home on a regular basis and we would value an adult comment. Children have a school reading book to take home but are able to also read other texts as well. We are always trying to encourage pupils to read from a variety of sources, not only in school but at home too.

To help your child earn an invitation to a reward event, please ensure that they read at least 3 times a week.

Every Friday spellings are collected, tested and a new set will be sent home. This year children may be with a different teacher for spellings, this is  to ensure your child is getting targeted teaching towards their needs. It is very important that spellings are practised and transferred into writing. Make sure you learn them!

Children will soon be given a homework menu which will help them with their Creative homework. Creative homework is to be handed in once every half term.

Maths and Literacy homework will be handed in on alternate weeks. It is important that your child completes homework as homework is a way to reinforce learning that has been done in class.

Mrs Hudson helps us change our library books every other Tuesday.

PE Sessions
Class 7 do PE on a Wednesday and Thursday.

Please make sure you have your correct PE kit,
white t-shirt, black shorts, black pumps
a tracksuit top and jogging bottoms can be worn for outdoor PE.

Children with long hair should make sure they have their hair tied up or a spare bobble provided. Earrings should be taken out or covered with micropore tape.

Our door is always open, we are more than happy for you to pop in and see us if there is anything you wish to discuss. If for any reason you are unable to pop in please do not hesitate to contact us via the school office.
