Reasons for Becoming A Governor
Kerry Hattersley - Chair of Governors, joined 2009
I am passionate about children's education and by being involved as a governor I believe I can give something back to the school & wider community.
Sarah Scott - Vice Chair, joined 2014
I wanted to become a parent governor to support the school and give something back as I have fond memories of being a pupil at Thorpe Hesley infants and juniors.
Joanne Hawkridge, joined 2014
At the time of joining the governing body I had 1 child in school, (now 2) I help in school on a weekly basis and felt I wanted to be more involved not only as a parent but as a member of our local community.
Denise Woodcock, joined 13 years plus!
I joined originally as support staff governor, then as childrens centre, I love it so much I decided to stay on as a co-opted governor.
